Team SdM had another outstanding home win against Tavira today winning 4 out of 5 matches and halving the other we take 9 points out of ten to cement our position at the top of Division 2.

Some outstanding performances today, Andy and Les continue their marriage made in heaven and Michael Docherty shoots another gross 69!

A superb performance sees SdM win away at Palmares.

Previously unbeaten at home Palmares put out a very strong team and started strong favourites to go through. SdM however continued their fine run of form with a truly magnificent performance to win 3.5/1.5.

SdM now go forward to play in the Final at Penina on September 7th against either Boavista or Vila Sol.

Another great weekend of fun. The weekend of June 16 -17 saw the annual SdM Captain’s Day and Reception. The format for the golf was a Pairs Betterball Stableford and a field of 92 players produced some great golf - well done to all those who won a prize but especially Gillian Duplessis and Wendy Emrich for taking the Captain's Jug home and to John and Kitty Usher for winning the Best Guest prize.

Congratulations to our team this week with an incredibly tough victory over Pinheiros Altos.

Four out of five matches finished on the 18th green with SdM coming out narrow 3-2 winners. Congratulations to all the players in a well fought match played in a fine spirit.

This win takes SdM to the top of the table again with a very good 7 point lead having played one game less than our rivals, we have the best points per game ratio in all three divisions.

Next week the team have two matches, Tuesday is our semi final in the Interclub Knock Out when we have a tough match at Palmares followed two days later with a home match vs Tavira.
